I got really tired of buying gas station sunglasses, so I thought I’d try buying these. The fact that they are made out of titanium really impressed me, in hand, they seem to be. They are slightly heavier than plastic and have that cold metal feeling when you pull them out of the case. I trust that these are durable since these are made of titanium, but I’m not willing to test it with a sledge hammer, time will tell. Many of my plastic pairs of sunglasses have snapped in weak areas over time, hopefully the titanium will solve my durability issue. These have a very thick frame that is sturdy, does not wobble. They stay on my face very well, the weight doesn’t seem to be a problem for me. I haven’t used the bottle opener yet, because I’m almost positive it will wear off some paint. It’s a cool, that this is made of titanium, it is durable because of it, no doubt, but it surly isn’t indestructible.

So I was skeptical buying these glasses due to their high price- but when you feel them and get these glasses in your hands you will not be dissapointed. They are extremely sturdy and balanced in terms of weight distribution and material. Once I got used to the weight of them they were perfect. The lenses seem to be of high quality too; this was a big selling point for me, and the polarized lenses are better than I anticipated. I am a lifeguard so I am in the sun for atleast 8 hours in a day, watching water and looking at the sky- so all I have to say is that these glasses look great and do the job. Oh, and bottle cap openers = flawless functionality. One of my hinge screws was coming loose and I emailed the company, they got back to me instanty and resolved the issue with a new pair. Fantastic customer service.

I’m really loving my Empire shades. I feel like they have just a nice modern twist on a classic design. I love the gold with the black and blue. When I first took them out I thought they were a bit “too stylish” for me but I’ve had plenty of compliments since. The build quality is really solid too, without being heavy. Quality materials and build. I’m tempted to get a second pair.
