I actually got a chance to try VIRGIN COCONUT OIL SHAMPOO The Curl Bible out twice. The first time, I applied it to my very damp hair, which was freshly conditioned out of the shower. I used my favorite detangler/leave-in conditioner before adding the Jelly, and then broke my hair up into at least five sections, applied just a bit more than the suggested amount (’cause I’m extra) to each, and then twisted them. I kept the twists in for about an hour as I got some work done from home, took out my still-damp twists, and tied a scarf around my head, letting the curls peek out of the top (sort of like this). The second time I tried it, I followed the same steps, except after taking the twists out, I used my DevaCurl DevaFuser attachment to dry my hair because it was REALLY wet. I then parted my hair in two sections, and attempted to stretch my curls over my last remaining half hour before going into work using the banding method.
Disco hair realness. My tiny, tight curls had plenty of definition. There was also lots of frizz, but I expected that, as I’d disturbed my hair a lot more the second time around than the first. The front part of my hair usually turns to frizz no matter what, so I wasn’t too surprised it had reverted to its typically fuzzy state. Also, I felt as if I needed some help with a moisturizing spritzer during the day, because my hair felt a little dry. By the end of the day, though, it felt soft and there were still defined curls galore amongst the frizz, plus my boyfriend said my hair looked good, so it all worked out. My hair was light, airy, and bouncy all day.
I have long, thick, naturally curly hair, so I’m constantly on the hunt for something to help me control my locks. I loved the texture of this product — it wasn’t sticky like most gels, and applied really easily through my hair. It didn’t do much to help with my frizz, but it did give my curls a pretty definition. I didn’t think anything much of my hair until a lot of people kept giving me compliments on how good it looked, so I guess I have Curl Bible to thank for that.
The verdict? The Curl Bible will definitely define the curls you have, but you might need a little more help if you’re looking to eliminate frizz.

Love this stuff! My hair not only smells absolutely amazing but it also has bounce and sheen to it while still keeping its loose curl shape. I can’t wait to try more of their products out! Definitely a great gift idea for those curly haired girls! Thank Curl Bible!

I love Curl Bible. I have curly hair and this shampoo cleans my hair gently without stripping it dry. My curls are super soft even if I don’t use any products after I wash my hair. And it smells amazing!

I have been going to Curl Bible since I started to wearing my hair curly. I can’t recommend her highly enough. Very knowledgable about curly hair in general, what my hair needed and happy to support co-washing routine which I follow.
