Earplugs are a necessity for musicians, as well as people around loud, live music. The reason that cheapo DayGlo disposable versions always get lost or thrown out is, well, they’re cheap, and therefore they are usually MIA when needed. Getting into high-priced versions is tough, especially finding a decent company whose claims equal the cost. Eargasm brings to the table a welcome, happy medium.
Included in the package are two sets of differently sized transparent soft rubberish “shells,” to ensure proper fit in the ear canal. Insert the transparent blueish “filters” into the shells that are the most comfortable, and that’s it.
They do cut a bit of high end, but nothing as drastic as the cheapo foam kind that make everything sound like a bomb going off in a WWII movie, where the hero can only hear muffled voices. It just slightly takes the edge off of things such as cymbals and other harsh sources. Comfort-wise, they’re great, and don’t feel like something unnatural has been jammed in your head. Included is a metal carrying case on a keychain, so they’re always there. Using a carabiner, clipping a set of these to an amp’s handle is a great way to have them where you need them if you’re a guitarist or bassist.
One of the biggest challenges that music aficionados, concertgoers, and musicians face is finding a reliable source of sound protection. Most models today make them sacrifice the sound quality to receive an adequate level of ear protection.
However, this isn’t the case with Eargasm High Fidelity Earplugs. These headphones prove that you can protect your ears from hearing loss without compromising your experience at a live music performance, nightclub, or a concert.
Features:
Volume Adjustment
There are certain sounds that you’ll want to hear, with these earplugs you’ll be able to hear them at a safe and comfortable level. While there are loud noises present, users can block them out completely because it causes damage to their hearing.
One feature that sets Eargasm’s Earplugs apart from the competition is its volume adjustment. This allows you to control the number of ambient sounds that are heard in the background. The Eargasm Earplugs have a Noise Reduction Rating that reaches a maximum of approximately 21 decibels.
We say “approximately 21 dB” because it depends on how the earplugs fit and how you wear them. After using them frequently, you’ll be able to measure the amount of noise they block out due to how you place them on your ears.
These earplugs are good for musicians as it protects their ears and doesn’t have extra filters. This means that you can still hear music when practicing with your band while protecting your ears from a beating.
Explicit Blocking Vs. Filtering
The Eargasms are better than traditional foam or earmuffs when it comes to ear protection. Instead of completely removing all sounds in an environment, it works by filtering out noise by only allowing the “good” sounds to pass through your ear.
For musicians, this determines the quality of your music and differentiates a good performance from a mediocre one. This is because your craft relies on your ability to interact with the sounds you create and how it complements the sounds of your band members.
Ergonomic Aluminum Case
Another reason why musicians like the Eargasm Earplugs is its aluminum case. It’s 35% smaller than other brands and fits your keychain. Also, it has a waterproof rubber seal which protects them from debris, moisture, and dust.
Eargasm placed the threading on the exterior of the canister to protect the earplugs from getting damaged when opening and closing it. Buy thesis product if you want a reliable and sturdy canister to store your earplugs when you’re done using them.
However, there are some complaints that consumers experience using this device. They stated that the Eargasm Earplugs plastic material would make them feel uncomfortable after wearing them for extended periods. We suggest that you remove them for at least 10 minutes to prevent this issue from occurring.

I’m a rock guitarist that has never found a happy medium between volume and perceived sound quality…until now. Eargasms, quite simply, turn the volume down on what you’re hearing. There is no muffled, distorted mess that you’re likely to get with most foam earplugs, and there is no discomfort that you might get with other noise filters. And being transparent, they’re not conspicuous at all. I’m planning to get each of my band members a pair to save what little hearing they have left. I highly recommend Eargasms.

I have been to a lot of concerts in my life. I wore these for the first time and they are LIFE CHANGING! You can actually hear what the artists are saying and singing, it’s not just a muffled mess. You can still hear the crowd. Heck I can even hear when someone talks in my ear. You can still hear all the music and the bass. Best part is you can actually hear after a show. I would recommend though that you not take them out until AFTER you leave the venue. I took them out as soon as the show ended and I realized how insanely loud everything was. Biiig mistake. I would highly recommend these to absolutely everyone. They are worth every penny.

I work in a bar that has live music and these were suggested to me. I hate the cheap foam earplugs because you can’t hear anything, and I need to hear my customers orders. These dampen the sound just enough to not cause ear damage yet still allow me to hear people speaking to me.

Excellent. I went to U2 in D.C. and left with ringing ears for 3 days. I bought these, and went to see U2 in San Diego and had a wonderful experience. I had to shove these babies in deep to get them to work (thus necessitating me using the smaller set). Excellent results and was still able to hear the music in the right key without suffering hearing loss or damage. Love them!

I didn’t notice any difference between these and cheap plugs I got from Target. On top of that, the silicone gets slippery and the plugs end up sliding out of my ears. I’ve tried them at three concerts, and each time I end up putting my old ear plugs in. I wouldn’t waste your money on these overpriced pieces of trash. Nor should you consider the useless connector cord that you have to purchase separately.
