I am impressed so far. Easy to fly, camera works great. I have only taken it on the test flight so far but everything is or better than expected. Only reason it isn’t 5 stars is I would need to fly it more and see how it withstands the test of time.

As someone that has flown many drones and experienced many problems, I will say that this is one of the worst drones I have flown. Quick words…the drone itself is a great look and build, the remote absolutely sucks and is cheap. Now for it. First off, there is not an on/off button for the drone itself. You have to manually remove the battery or install the battery to turn the craft on or off. They claim this is because it is waterproof…but so is my phone, and there is an on/off button. Anyways, after hours of trying to figure out the ridiculous algorithm to get the drone and remote to work with each other (must have all buttons on the remote face upward and then do a series of joystick manipulation to get the calibration process going), you then have to calibrate the machine. This is about a 6-10 minute process EVERY time you want to fly the craft in a different location or in the same location on a different day. As someone trying to capture a moment or get footage for a project, this is absolutely time consuming and ridiculous. After countless hours trying to get the microscopic lights and switch panels that are embedded inside the tiny chamber of the craft to react, it was flight time. I started the propellers and all sounded and looked good. I was at 11 satellites. Lifted the craft about a foot off the ground, it hovered for a few seconds and then took a straight line at me (I was about 15 feet away). The craft was uncontrollable and smashed me in the and ripping three fingernails directly off and severing three fingertips. I spent the night in the ER. I then read about the unpredictability of the Splash Pro 3 and how this is not a first time thing. I have never had such a large drone act so erratically. I reached out to SwellPro and have yet to hear back, which fits into the absolute horrible customer service everyone else is complaining about. I returned the drone to the seller I purchased it from and got a full refund, but if I bought it from SwellPro, I think I would be out $2,200. My final thoughts are that if you want to fly by the water, just get a DJI product and learn to fly it. You should have no problem skimming the water with a Mavic Pro and not crashing it. Half the price, a third the size and 5X the drone. Do not buy this two thousand dollar piece of plastic garbage. The idea is there, but the technology absolutely sucks. Maybe one day someone will develop a better mousetrap.

So far, it is a non intuitive thing. To be fair, I have used it a couple of times only. Now I was trying to charge my battery for the controller which is on a silly little wire and had issues just getting it out to charge. Now it wont take a charge, they are having me send it back on my dime! It has some good qualities as well, but it will take some serious practice to make this a simple machine. I am glad it is waterproof and that is the reason I am okay w/ it. If anyone made one that was simpler they would sell a ton.

I was a complete novice when I bought this drone from Urban Drones in Florida. I carefully watched their videos about calibration and flying and read the manual before firing it up.. I have had the drone now for 1 year and use it for putting lines over trees for radio antennas. It has worked perfectly every time I have used it. Any poor performance has been pilot error and not the drone. The construction has been solid and the control panel has been flawless. Only downside was a lithium battery which swoll up on me about 2 months ago, which is the battery failure and not a drone failure.
These other critical ratings here DO NOT match my experience with this drone. It is expensive but worth it.

Worst the money! This is a great product of people that have just entered the field of unmanned aerial vehicles. SO easy to assemble. It is easy to learn how to fly in an open area. The quality of the camera is good. Adjusting the angle of the camera will be very good. Really like it.

Whats not to like. I fish Jan Feb and March in Cancun. I used the drone for the first time this year with excellent results
If you take your time and do the six position calibration and make sure you have at least nine satellites which is the least
amount recommended you should have no problems. I usually pick up at least 15 on the beach. It is a dangerous drone
with 12 in carbon fiber props so be especially careful when taking off and landing as gawkers tend to get too close. The
return home feature is great and bait release is incredible as I usually fly out about 400 yards to drop my bait.

Love it so far. Although documentation was somewhat sparse. And, with an $1800 price tag, a second drone battery wouldn’t be asking too much. As quads go it’s a beast, big and heavy. It’s not a stunt or race quad, it’s a water quad with excellent 4k video. I’m very happy with it.

I already own several drones, but this one is by far my favorite. I have spent more time flying this one and learning the basics of how to control a quadcopter. The camera is 1080p HD and does a good job. I really like the battery of this one also. I have had several run-ins with trees and the house and it hasn’t hurt it what so ever. Just changed the props last weekend for the first time. And you can buy in confidence as the Potensic customer service is second to none.

I purchased this product on kickstarted and I still have not revieved it after two years. i have tried multiple ways to contact the company and i do not get any answers. Please say away from this product and company as they are truly a scam of an organization.
